Hotel koi pond, a refreshing meeting spot

In the hotel at Red Bluff, a heavy-duty spring snap hung from the bathroom door hook, with a bit of frayed rope. It looked like a part of a firefighter’s bailout kit. A firefighter must have stayed in the room the night before & left it. Sunday morning, a few firefighters grouped near the hotel’s koi pond, receiving the day’s instructions.
